Emerging Venture Analyst2010-2011 PG&E Energy Efficiency Fellow


Biography

Chris is a second-year MBA student and Faculty Scholar at the UC Davis Graduate School of Management. As the Student Program Manager at the EEC, Chris leads the business development efforts for the student program and manages the student projects, including the profit and loss statements. In addition, he has worked on numerous market assessment and pilot projects, including most recently an in-home energy display and smart thermostat pilot for Sacramento Municipal Utility District, and a market survey commissioned by Chevron Energy Solutions to assess infrastructure needs for large public universities nationally.

 Prior to returning to school to launch a career in energy efficiency, Chris spent a decade in politics and advocacy, leading fundraising and branding efforts for candidates and causes at the local, state and national levels. Most recently, he led the clean tech fundraising campaign to protect California’s energy innovation industry by defeating Proposition 23. Chris graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with degrees in political science and rhetoric. In addition to his work at the EEC, Chris is also the Co-Chair of the UC Davis Big Bang! Business Plan Competition.
