Dr. Biscotti completed her Ph.D. in Sociology at UC Davis in 2010 and her research specialization is in economic and organizational sociology. In collaboration with EEC Director Nicole Biggart, Dina is leading a research project to study the diffusion of energy efficiency technologies through social institutions like churches, schools, and community-based organizations. With the UC Davis California Lighting Technology Center and the UC Davis Western Cooling Efficiency Center, she is working on several interrelated research projects to identify structural barriers to the adoption of energy efficiency technologies and practices.
