Sylvia Wright is Senior Director of Communications for the Energy Efficiency Center. She is responsible for all internal and external communications and marketing, including websites, social media, multimedia, research reports and news releases. She joined the EEC in 2011 after 14 years as a Senior Public Information Representative in UC Davis University Communications, where she publicized research achievements in the biological, physical and environmental sciences and engineering. She previously was the Science and Medicine Editor at the San Jose Mercury News and an Associate Editor at Consumer Reports. She has a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from the University of South Florida (Tampa) and was a Knight Science Journalism Fellow at MIT.
