Michelle Sims is a third-year UC Davis undergraduate student majoring in International Relations, with an emphasis on world trade and development, and Spanish. She began interning with the EEC in the spring of 2011, and since then she has worked on a number of projects.

The first included assisting in researching the diffusion of energy efficiency through community organizations. The second included gathering and organizing data for a research study by the California Technology Lighting Center at UC Davis, funded by Chevron Energy Solutions, of the infrastructure and distribution of streetlight technology and ownership across California. The third includes assisting in a study by the UC Davis Western Cooling Efficiency Center on the usability of in-home energy displays and air-conditioning maintenance behavior.

She also conducted her own research project of the Building and Construction Authority Green Mark building certification scheme in Singapore. In her free time she enjoys traveling, horseback riding and painting.
